Spike Lee is well-known for frequently utilizing his hometown of New York City as a backdrop for his films. Mo’ Better Blues was filmed all over the city, including the Brooklyn Bridge, the now-shuttered Tower Records store in Manhattan, and Greenwich Village’s Cherry Lane Theater.
